Moonlit Canopy

CUSTOMER SUCCESS STORY

Nestled on the edge of a golf course and a serene lake in Pleasant Valley, Manitoba, Moonlit Canopy has redefined glamping with its unique dome accommodations. Led by Cassandra Jamieson, this boutique retreat offers guests a blend of luxury, nature, and unforgettable experiences. Operating since August 2021, Moonlit Canopy has become a sought-after destination for travelers seeking something extraordinary.

A Vision Brought to Life

Cassandra founded Moonlit Canopy after recognizing a gap in the marketplace for distinctive, nature-connected accommodations. The retreat features three 26' domes, each designed for maximum comfort and aesthetic appeal. Guests can enjoy luxurious amenities, including:

a bedroom with hybrid panorama window

Sleeping Arrangements

A king bed on the main floor and a queen bed in the mezzanine under a stunning skylight.

a mini kitchen on a geodesic home

Modern Conveniences

Full bathrooms, mini kitchens with a fridge, microwave, hot plate, and coffee maker.

a geodesic dome with private deck, table and hot tub

Outdoor Living

Private decks equipped with a BBQ, hot tub, patio table, and chairs.

The Phoenix Domes Connection

Although Moonlit Canopy originally purchased their domes elsewhere, Cassandra turned to Phoenix Domes when the PVC panorama windows and skylights began to fail, becoming cloudy and discolored. Despite the challenge of custom window shapes, Phoenix Domes provided a tailored solution with Hybrid Panorama Windows made from double-pane, argon-filled, Low-E glass. These upgrades significantly enhanced the domes’ durability, insulation, and aesthetic appeal, earning rave reviews from guests.

The Numbers Behind the Success

Moonlit Canopy’s domes operate year-round, achieving remarkable occupancy rates of 100% from April to October and approximately 80% from November to March. With nightly rates of $265-$285, the revenue potential is impressive.

Monthly Revenue Per Dome:

  • High Season (April to October): $8,550 - $8,835 per month.
  • Low Season (November to March): $6,048 - $6,696 per month.

Annual Revenue:

  • Per Dome: $93,606
